- Contract Description
The overall objective of the project of which this contract will be a part is a reduction in vulnerability and risk and an increase in climate resilience at the community level. The specific objective is the construction of two regional emergency shelters (Jimmit and Castle Bruce), each specifically designed to provide a safe, family-friendly, climate resilient environment where persons can be protected from extreme weather conditions and be provided with a temporary respite until their previous residence is restored.
The purpose of this contract is to construct two regional emergency shelters:
Lot 1: Construction of Regional Emergency Shelter in Jimmit
Lot 2: Construction of Regional Emergency Shelter in Castle Bruce
- Provisional commencement date of the contract: 24th January 2020.
- Implementation period of the tasks: Works: 11 months, Defects Liability: 12 months
- Deadline for receipt of tenders: Monday, 30th December 2019

The Forestry, Wildlife & Parks Division wishes to inform the general public that the official hunting season comes to an end on November 30, 2019 and there should be no hunting of game species nor taking of freshwater species.
The Division will also cease from issuing wildlife export permits as of November 30, 2019 to the travelling public.
