Clarification of questions

Please be guided that the deadline for submission of tenders is now Monday, 10^th February 2014 at 12.00pm.

Please find the answers to the ‘Requests for clarification’:

Question 1: It was noticed that in Lot 2 the request for Dithiocarbonate may have differential spelling for the active ingredient.

Clarification: The correct spelling for the active ingredient is Dithiocarbamate.

Question 2: Please advise on the specification of percent active Ingredient for items listed in Lot 2 of Tender Dossier.

• 1215 litres Propiconazole
• 810 litres  Strobilurin
• 3400 kg  Dithiocarbonate
• 1500 litres (300 boxes) Fenpropimorph
• 1000 litres Pyrimethanil
• 2500 gallons Oxamyl

Clarification:

• 1215 litres Propiconazole - 41.8 %
• 810 litres Azoxystrobin - 22.30 %
• 3400 kg  Dithiocarbamate - 34%
• 1500 litres (300 boxes) Fenpropimorph - 88%
• 1000 litres Pyrimethanil - 60%
• 2500 gallons Oxamyl - 24%

Question 3: The use of the 50kg bag of NPK and CAN fertilisers instead of the 25kg which is presently the preferred choice.

Clarification: 25 kg bags are fine as this will allow for a greater % of distribution among small farmers with ½ acre. As such, Lot 1: Procurement of Fertilizers/Soil Additives to enhance plant nutrition is amended as follows:

• Fifteen thousand (15,000) 25kg bags of NPK 16:8:24+4Mgo fertilizer
• Five thousand (5000) 25 kg bags of Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN)
