ANNOUNCEMENT: Special Weather Bulletin
A strong tropical wave with an associated area of low pressure is moving across the Lesser Antilles.
Associated weather, that is cloudiness, pockets of moderate to heavy showers, thunderstorms, gusty winds and moderate to rough seas are affecting portions of the Lesser Antilles.
There is a high chance that this wave could develop into a tropical depression soon. A reconnaissance aircraft is scheduled to investigate this system later today, if necessary.
Residents should monitor the progress/development of this system and exercise caution in their movements bearing in mind that potential hazards, such as flash floods, land/mud slides, falling rocks and hazardous seas could impact the area.
Additionally, a small craft warning is in effect for moderate to rough seas. The fishing/marine community should pay attention and exercise extreme caution.
The Met office will continue to monitor and assess the situation and provide updates, if necessary.
