In order to lower the temperature and quell the noise surrounding the election campaign following the dissolution of the House on 6th November 2019, in preparation for General Elections to be held on 6th December 2019, His Excellency the President has embarked on a series of meetings/consultations with community based organizations and the two major political to discuss the current situation leading up to the General Elections with a view to preserving the peace and tranquility of the country in the days leading up to the General Elections and the period thereafter. Consequently invitations were extended to the following parties who have acknowledged and confirmed their attendance:
- The Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce (DAIC)
- The Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association (DHTA)
- The Dominica Christian Council
- The Dominica Association of Evangelical Churches
- The Seventh Day Adventist Leadership
- The Opposition Leader Honourable Lennox Linton and his team
- The Dominica Bar Association
- The Honourable Prime Minister and his team
His Excellency also invited the Honourable Attorney General and the Chief Parliamentary Counsel to attend all the meetings.

- Executive of the DAIC and DHTA jointly at 3:00 pm
On Thursday, 21st November 2019 His Excellency met with
- The Dominica Christian Council at 10:00 am
- The Dominica Association of Evangelical Churches (DAEC) at 2:30 pm
- The Leadership of the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 4:30 pm
On Friday 22nd November 2019 His Excellency met with
- The Opposition Leader and his Team at 10:00 am
- Dominica Bar Association (DBA) Executive at 12:00 noon
- The Honourable Prime Minister and his Team at 3:00 pm
His Excellency wishes to thank the community based organizations, al of home who accepted His Excellency’s invitations at short notice and the Leader of the Opposition and the Prime Minister who agreed to meet with on Friday. His Excellency hope that the series of meetings and consultations will lead to a lowering of the temperature and quelling of the noise surrounding the election campaign.
