The Roseau Public Library is this week staging a number of activities to mark Library Week 2013.
The activities which officially began on Monday, May 13th, are being observed under the theme: ‘Communities connect at the Library’.
Chief Librarian at the Roseau Public Library, Davina Jones, said the library has been involved in a number of outreach activities involving students from various schools.
Jones indicated that the Roseau Primary School visited the Roseau Public Library for the ‘Write a Story’ programme while students of Grades Five and Six from various schools in the Roseau Valley visited for a skills session on Tuesday May 14th.
During the entire month of May, the public is being encouraged to bring in overdue books to the library. Miss Jones assured that all outstanding fees will be waived.
A special hamper is also being prepared for the Grotto Home for The Homeless.
The week of activities will end with a prize-giving ceremony for winners of a photography contest organized by the Roseau Library.
