A fully equipped washroom facility worth approximately one hundred and four thousand dollars EC dollars has also been handed over in Castle Bruce.
The facility was built over a period of four months by a local contractor.
Parliamentary Representative for the Castle Bruce Constituency, Hon. Johnson Drigo thanked the Ministry of Tourism and Culture for their investment in the village.
“I want to thank the Ministry of Tourism in a very special way for sponsoring this project as we cannot underscore the importance of this project to this community. Dominica is on a current trajectory that is giving the right consideration to the development of tourism, and Castle Bruce through its history will play a key role in the tourism product,” Minister Drigo said.
He went on to say that while Castle Bruce might not be one of Dominica’s biggest Tourism attractions, Castle Bruce still contributes to the country’s tourism product.
“While all the tourism facilities may not be built in Castle Bruce, Castle Bruce will continue to serve as a hub. Castle Bruce beach is a special place Castle Bruce village is a special place and the history of Castle Bruce fits the tourism product, and the Emerald Pool is right there. So, this facility is very important and I want to thank the Castle Bruce Tourism Committee who has worked hard over the years to get this project,” the Minister added.
