New windows have been installed at the North East Comprehensive School according to the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development.

Senior Planning Officer Ted Serrant says the walkway which links the classroom block to the other parts of the school compound has also been covered.

Senior Education officials met with members of the PTA Executive in September to discuss their most pressing concerns about the school’s physical environment, and to outline the ministry’s plan for the continued development of the NECS.

The PTA was assured that works on the windows and walkway would be complete within the first term of the 2012-2013 academic year.

Meanwhile Serrant has also confirmed that works are ongoing on the construction of a core-house at the Morne Prosper Primary School.
