The Permanent Representative of Dominica to the Organization of American States (OAS), Dr. Vince Henderson, on Thursday assumed the Chair of the Inter-American Council for Integral Development.
According to a report from the Press and Communications Department of the Organization of American States, Dr Henderson takes over Costa-Rican ambassador Rogelio Sotela Munoz who he thanked for his work during the tenure as Chair.
Ambassador Munoz also thanked member states for their support and contribution to the development of the hemisphere. Following the hand-over ceremony, Ambassador Henderson called to order the first meeting of the Council for 2017.
During this meeting, the Council appointed Kim Osbourne as Executive Secretary for Integral Development of the OAS, Osbourne, also a citizen of Dominica, previously served as acting executive secretary, Chief of the Technical Cooperation Section and The OAS Country Representative in Belize.
