Residents of the St. Joseph Constituency will soon have access to new washroom facilities.
The Hon Parliamentary Representative, Kelver Darroux confirmed this at a DLP meeting in St. Joseph on Tuesday, February 2nd.
The St Joseph MP says the project will cost over $200,000.
“Right after the Carnival we will be receiving in excess of $200,000 to [construct] 25 washroom faculties in this constituency and get rid of pit latrines. We understand that the health of our people is important. We need to ensure that the facilities are given to boost that…,” he said.
Hon Darroux also announced plans to rebuild a bridge in St. Joseph which was destroyed during Tropical Storm Erika.
“We will be making $120,000 available to the St. Joseph Village Council to do the foot bridge in Otro Bando.”
The St. Joseph MP further announced that funds have been approved for a major project in his constituency.
“In 2014, on the political platform I told you I will deliver the St. Joseph Boulevard and this was not a promise in the sky because I can tell you tonight that $2m to begin works on the St. Joseph Boulevard.”
