The nation’s leader has affirmed his government’s commitment to build an international airport in Dominica.
Hon Prime Minister, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit said a firm engaged to make recommendations on the airport will be making a presentation to cabinet next month.
“I give you the assurances… that Dominica will have an international airport of its own…because if we are going to be investing so heavily in this hotel rooms we must ensure that we improve air access into our country and place our country in a better position to take advantage of the many billions of tourist dollar circulating around the world. On the 21st of April, the firm which we have engaged to advise us on the international airport will be making a presentation to the Cabinet on its recommendations,” the nation’s leader informed.
Hon Skerrit was speaking at a townhall meeting in Paix-Bouche last week.
